An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a well-established Building Services consultancy delivering high-profile commercial and refurbishment projects across the UK.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer looking to take the next step in their career, with opportunities for leadership, project ownership, and progression into management.
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, contributing to innovative, sustainable, and technically challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across a range of commercial projects
  • Produce detailed electrical design calculations, specifications, schedules, and technical drawings
  • Ensure all designs comply with current Building Regulations, British Standards, and industry best practices
  • Support low-carbon and energy-efficient design strategies
  • Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors, and wider project teams
  • Attend client meetings and contribute to project planning and technical discussions
  • Review and check the work of junior engineers and provide technical mentorship
  • Manage project deadlines, priorities, and client expectations effectively
  • Support the development of junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team culture

Requirements Essential
  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience working within a Building Services consultancy environment
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical building services design
  • Experience delivering commercial fit-out, refurbishment, or new-build projects
  • Ability to manage projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with relevant design software and Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to work independently and lead project delivery
Desirable
  • Chartered Engineer status or currently working towards chartership
  • Experience with Revit/CAD software
  • Knowledge of sustainable and low-energy design principles
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial developments
  • Interest in renewable technologies and environmental sustainability
