Interim HR Assistant (Charity) – Immediate Start

Cheam | 3 days per week /22.5 hours per week (flexible) | Onsite

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a valued client, a well-established charity based in Cheam, who are seeking an Interim HR Assistant to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis with an immediate start.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a purpose-driven organisation and provide essential support across the full employee lifecycle in a busy, hands-on role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the full employee lifecycle including:
    • Recruitment coordination and onboarding
    • Issuing contracts, offer letters, and right-to-work checks
    • Managing inductions and probation processes
    • Processing employee changes and leavers
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and systems
  • Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries
  • Supporting absence management and employee relations administration
  • Assisting with HR reporting and compliance
  • Providing general HR administrative support
  • Supporting payroll processes (beneficial), including preparation and liaison with payroll

About You

  • Previous experience in an HR Assistant or HR Administrator role
  • Strong understanding of the employee lifecycle
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
  • Payroll exposure would be advantageous
