About the Role

Adele Carr Recruitment have partnered with a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking to add a Management Accountant to their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded and analytical finance professional to join a fast-paced business where you will play a key role in supporting financial performance and operational decision-making. Working closely with both finance and operational teams, you will be responsible for delivering insightful reporting, improving processes and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly Business Unit financial reports, including meaningful analysis and commentary on performance variances
  • Lead overhead and cost analysis including headcount reconciliation and overtime reporting
  • Maintain weekly profit forecasts and produce operational reporting including sales, stock and daily performance reporting
  • Support month-end activities including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Manage stock costing processes, ensuring standard costs and overhead recoveries are maintained accurately
  • Oversee customer rebate accounting and ensure liabilities and accruals are recorded correctly
  • Monitor working capital and support inventory controls and stock integrity
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and maximise system efficiencies
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and additional financial analysis projects as required

What We're Looking For

  • CIMA part-qualified (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or product-based environment would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of management accounting and costing processes
  • Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across departments
  • Organised with the ability to manage deadlines within a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive and hands-on approach
