Audit Manager - Leading Practice Opportunity

The Opportunity

As an Audit Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio while supporting the wider team in delivering high-quality audit and advisory services. The role offers a blend of technical challenge, client interaction, and leadership responsibility within a collaborative accountancy environment in Manchester.

What you'll be doing

• Leading end-to-end audit assignments across a varied client portfolio
• Managing timelines, budgets, and overall delivery to ensure quality and efficiency
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong working relationships
• Reviewing audit work and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
• Supporting and mentoring junior and part-qualified team members
• Collaborating with internal teams including tax and advisory specialists
• Contributing to ad-hoc projects and specialist assignments

What we're looking for

• ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong audit or general practice background
• Solid technical knowledge, including FRS 102 (IFRS exposure beneficial)
• Proven experience managing client relationships and delivering audits
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams
• Commercial awareness and confidence when dealing with senior stakeholders
• Experience with accounting and audit software packages is advantageous
