Tradewind are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across a range of primary schools in the Sheffield area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, aspiring teachers, or education professionals seeking flexible work within supportive and welcoming school environments.

The Role

As a KS1 Supply Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across Key Stage 1, working closely with class teachers to help deliver engaging lessons and provide additional support where required. Your responsibilities may include:

• General classroom support
• Phonics, literacy, and numeracy interventions
• 1:1 and small group support
• Assisting pupils with additional needs
• Supporting positive behaviour and pupil engagement
• Helping to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment

Supply work offers flexibility to suit your availability, whether you are looking for daily cover, short-term placements, or longer-term opportunities.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who:

• Have previous experience working within a primary school setting
• Are confident supporting pupils within KS1
• Have a good understanding of phonics and early learning strategies
• Possess strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Are adaptable, reliable, and enthusiastic
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or are willing to apply for one)
