Personal Injury Solicitor / Legal Executive (with Practising Rights)
An established South Wales based law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (with practising rights) to join its Personal Injury team.
This role is ideal for someone who wants a long-term regional position, working on a varied personal injury caseload while remaining closely connected to clients and colleagues across South Wales.
Location: Pontypool or Cardiff – South Wales (hybrid & flexible working available)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications
The Role
You’ll manage a mixed caseload of personal injury matters, acting for both individuals and organisations, with a particular emphasis on:
Workplace accident claims
Public liability matters
Road traffic accident (RTA) claims
Cases will be run from instruction through to settlement or hearing, with appropriate autonomy and team support.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a varied personal injury caseload across workplace, PL, and RTA matters
Provide clear, practical, and empathetic advice to clients
Liaise with external stakeholders, including trade union representatives where applicable
Maintain strong compliance and file management standards
Support junior colleagues and contribute to team development
Attend regional conferences, training, and networking events
About You
Essential:
Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with practising rights
Minimum 2 years’ PQE (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience in workplace accident claims
Strong knowledge of personal injury litigation, including PL and RTAs
Excellent communication and client care skills
A collaborative approach and interest in building a regional practice
Desirable:
Experience working with trade unions
Membership of APIL
