An established multi-company property and investment group based in Loughton, Essex is seeking a Finance Assistant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual looking to develop their accounting experience within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger

  • Process weekly purchase invoices
  • Code invoices accurately and prepare bank payments
  • Input financial data across multiple companies using accounting software
  • Maintain and update property-related spreadsheets

Sales Ledger

  • Raise weekly sales invoices
  • Issue rental invoices and demands across multiple entities
  • Monitor rental payments received
  • Liaise with managing agents regarding rental income statements
  • Perform credit control duties

General Ledger

  • Perform bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts
  • Reconcile control accounts and analyse balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end audit files and schedules

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive and diligent approach to work
  • Excel skills essential
  • Experience with QuickBooks and/or Xero desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across several entities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with external stakeholders
