Our client, a medium sized law firm in Chancery Lane has an exciting opportunity for a Tax, Accountancy, Economics graduate looking for an entry level role with a career pathway. The firm will support the successful candidate's Tax qualifications. You will be in the office 3-4 days and the rest from home. The tax team at the firm are very dynamic and entrepreneurial so this is a rare and exciting opportunity.

They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Trainee to join our Tax Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to start a career in tax within a legal environment. You will gain hands-on experience in tax advisory, compliance, and client service, while receiving training and support to develop your technical and professional skills.

Current team of 10 comprising of Head of Team/Group, two Partners, Senior Manager, three Managers, Assistant Manager, Tax Executive, and Team PA.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse data from multiple prime documents; collate and structure data in Excel to produce source schedules and tax computations
  • Review data sources to identify omissions or inconsistencies
  • Assist in the preparation of client Disclosure Reports and advisory reports
  • Conduct research on clients, financial products, and tax matters
  • Support client onboarding and day-to-day correspondence
  • Assist with the preparation of marketing materials and liaise with the marketing team
  • Maintain internal databases, including referrals checker and case monitor
  • Provide general support to the Tax Team as required
  • Deliver high levels of client service at all times

Skills, experience and attributes

  • Educated to degree level, minimum of 2:1, preferably Bsc or BA in associated field
  • Firm will support the individual through the ATT and CTA qualifications
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
  • Highly organised
  • Strong IT skills (in particular Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail
