About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Credit Control Manager to lead our credit control function based in NG1, Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and experience in debt recovery and accounts management to join a professional and supportive environment.

Following a successful probation period of 3 months, the role will move to a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. Flexible working hours are available within a 35–40 hour working week.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a team of staff
  • Oversee all credit control activities and aged debt recovery
  • Ensure effective collection processes and account management
  • Carry out and oversee bank reconciliations
  • Liaise with solicitors and barristers regarding debt recovery matters
  • Manage communication between departments and external stakeholders
  • Oversee applications to administrators for aged debt claims
  • Prepare reports and present information for credit control meetings
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reporting standards


General Responsibilities

  • Support the smooth and secure operation of the office
  • Assist colleagues and contribute positively to the wider team
  • Undertake reasonable additional duties as required
  • Follow all Health & Safety and company procedures


About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Credit Control Manager or Supervisor role
  • Experience managing or mentoring a team
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence dealing with clients and legal professionals
  • A proactive and professional approach to problem-solving
