Credit Controller Specialist - £30,000k plus benefits 
Permanent | Full-Time on site during Probation, Hybrid once passed (8.30am - 5pm)
Location: West Leicester

Reed, Accountancy and Finance, are working exclusively with a well-established, growing business, who are recruiting for a Credit Control Specialist to join its Finance team on a permanent basis.

This role would suit an experienced Accounts Receivable / Customer Finance professional looking for long-term stability, development and the opportunity to take ownership of customer and member ledgers within a supportive finance function.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate ledgers and ensuring timely invoicing, effective credit control and robust reconciliation processes.

Key responsibilities include:

Banking

  • Processing daily banking transactions
  • Timely allocation of Direct Debit files

Accounts Receivable 

  • Reconciling ledgers
  • Credit control activity via calls, emails, Teams and occasional face-to-face meetings
  • Accurate posting of invoices and allocation of payments
  • Resolving invoice and payment queries
  • Monitoring and managing credit limits
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to support timely payment

Operational & Reporting

  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Supporting internal and external audits
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
  • Identifying process improvements and contributing to system enhancements
  • Supporting financial system upgrades or changes

Insurance

  • Ownership of insurance payment allocations
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliation

About You

  • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable or Finance
  • Strong understanding of reconciliation processes and financial systems
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
  • Confident communicator, comfortable managing payment conversations
  • Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Experience working to monthly financial calendars and reporting deadlines
