Great opportunity to join a rapidly growing Bio Tech business based in Cambridge is looking to bring it's day-to-day finance function in house and is looking for an experienced finance professional to support this change.

Our client is a real success story for Cambridge having enjoyed significant growth in sales over the last 12 months and more new clients signed up for the next year. They offer hybrid working 2 days a week in the office in central Cambridge.

The purpose of this role is to support the Financial Controller in managing the day-to-day finance function. You will bring the core financial operations in house and ensure accurate and compliant reporting.

* Manage day-to-day financial operations, including purchasing,expenses and accounts payable/receivable
* Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records
* Maintain the general ledger and the trail balance
* Process payroll and ensure accuracy and compliance
* Support treasury activities
* Assist with month-end close and support the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting
* Assist with audits and liaise with external parties
* Identify and implement process improvements, including opportunities for automation

This is a small finance function and we are looking for someone who will be willing to get involved in a broad range of finance activities. You will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. You will have experience of managing finance operations from transaction processing through to trial balance.

£55,000 - £65,000 plus benefits
