A well-regarded Gloucestershire architecture practice is hiring an Architectural Technologist to join its commercial team. Strong pipeline, varied projects, and a studio that takes design quality and sustainability seriously.
You'll produce technical design packages and see projects through the construction stages, working across commercial schemes with exposure to defence sector work. A hands-on technical role with the backing of an established practice and a clear path to grow.
The Role: Architectural Technologist
Producing detailed technical design packages and carrying them through to construction.
Working mainly on commercial projects, with scope to get into defence sector work.
Applying current Building Safety Act requirements, UK building regulations, and CDM obligations.
Producing specifications (a real plus if you've done it before).
Working closely with the wider design team, and confidently on your own when needed.
What you'll need:
A few years’ experience working as an Architectural Technologist, ideally CIAT accredited or working towards it.
Strong Revit skills and confidence across other industry software.
A track record of technical design packages and construction-stage involvement.
Solid knowledge of the Building Safety Act, building regs, and CDM.
A clear communicator, equally comfortable solo or in a team.
What's in it for you:
Paid professional memberships (RIBA, CIAT, CMLI).
Pension, life cover, and an EV car scheme.
A proper CPD programme, plus the chance to join internal working groups shaping how the studio tackles things like sustainability and the Building Safety Act.
Loyalty and long-service rewards that build the longer you stay.
A values-led studio that genuinely backs sustainability and responsible business.
