Senior Employment Lawyer - 4+PQE Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
We are currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Employment Lawyer to join a leading national law firm’s highly regarded Employment team, with the role able to be based in either Newcastle, Leeds or Manchester.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nationally recognised team that advises a broad range of household-name and major UK employers on the full spectrum of employment law matters. The team has ambitious growth plans and offers strong long-term progression opportunities for the right individual.
The role will involve:
Managing a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
Advising on redundancy, disciplinaries, grievances, whistleblowing and discrimination matters
Defending Employment Tribunal claims
Supporting corporate transactions, including TUPE advice
Drafting senior executive service agreements and related documentation
Advising on restructuring and change management projects
Supporting business development initiatives, networking and client training
The successful candidate will ideally have:
4+ years’ PQE in employment law
Strong technical and commercial knowledge
Experience managing their own caseload
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A collaborative approach and desire to be part of a growing team
Previous supervisory or mentoring experience would be advantageous
