HR Adviser

Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Overview

An established organisation is seeking an HR Adviser to provide proactive, solution?focused HR support across the business. Working closely with managers, you will support effective people management, ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and regulatory requirements, and act as a trusted adviser in a fast?paced environment.

This is a hands?on generalist role offering exposure to a wide range of employee relations matters and wider HR activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and develop managers' understanding of ER matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance, and probation
• Provide practical, balanced advice aligned with business and legal requirements
• Support proactive absence management and return?to?work processes
• Prepare investigation documentation and outcome letters
• Support HR policy updates, regulatory compliance, and SMCR activity
• Assist with recruitment and fair, compliant hiring practices
• Provide accurate HR data for reporting

About You

• Experience in a generalist HR advisory role
• CIPD qualified, studying towards, or equivalent experience
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
• Confident HR systems user with excellent communication skills
• Organised, detail?focused, and professionally discreet

Desirable:

• Experience in financial services, professional services, or other regulated environments
• Experience supporting multi?site or geographically dispersed teams
