Interim Management Accountant 
Location: Doncaster

Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a fast-paced and growing organisation seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team during a critical period of activity. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who can quickly integrate into an established team and add value from day one.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting month-end processes, maintaining robust financial controls, and assisting with both operational and project-based finance activities.

Key responsibilities of a Management Accountant:

• Support month-end close activities including journals, reconciliations, control accounts, variance analysis, and commentary
• Take ownership of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances promptly
• Ensure accurate accounting of operational expenditure, capital expenditure, and accruals across multiple entities
• Assist with year-end audit requirements, responding to queries accurately and efficiently
• Support process improvements and contribute to strengthening financial controls and best practice
• Assist with implementation of new balance sheet reconciliation software
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support during a peak period of activity
• Work collaboratively across Finance and wider business functions to resolve accounting queries
• Support lease accounting and property-related finance tasks where required

Key skills & Experience required:

• Qualified or QBE Management Accountant with strong month-end and year-end experience
• Strong understanding of double-entry accounting and general ledger principles
• Experience handling high-volume transactions in a fast-paced environment
• Confident working autonomously with minimal supervision
• Strong Excel and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Effective communicator able to build relationships across all levels of the business
• Previous exposure to IFRS16 or lease accounting would be advantageous
