We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to support a busy finance team within a values-driven organisation that provides services to adults with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process payroll using Sage Payroll, including starters, leavers, amendments, absences, and statutory payments
Maintain payroll records and complete HMRC submissions
Produce payroll reports, process deductions, and handle staff queries
Support finance operations across purchase, sales, and nominal ledgers
Post journals, accruals, and prepayments
Reconcile payroll, bank, and cash accounts
Process BACS payments and manage daily cashbook entries (Sage Line 50)
Administer petty cash and credit card transactions
Assist with audits and year-end processes
Requirements
Proven payroll experience
Working knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll
Strong IT skills and attention to detail
Reliable, confidential, and team-oriented
