Role Purpose:

My client is looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Sales Administrator to support with order processing, purchasing activities, and customer account administration.

This role is central to ensuring the accurate and timely handling of sales and purchase transactions, and stock coordination. You will work closely with internal teams to maintain operational accuracy, uphold strong internal controls, and deliver high standards of customer service throughout the order lifecycle.

• Salary: £26,000 - £29,000
• 26 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Monday–Thursday 08:30–17:00
• Friday early finish at 4pm

Day-to-Day of the Role:

• Process customer orders accurately and issue timely order acknowledgements.
• Handle incoming customer enquiries and provide high-quality service.
• Raise, track, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely material availability.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors to confirm order accuracy and prevent delays.
• Monitor daily order and backlog reports, ensuring all open orders progress.
• Maintain and update stock records, including ordering and tracking.
• Support invoicing and credit control activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare scheduled reports and assist with general administrative and audit-related tasks

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience in order processing, customer service, or a transactional support role.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction products, or industrial sectors is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
• High level of attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
• Confident user of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience working with ERP or order management systems is advantageous.
