Stores Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Stores Supervisor to join a well-established organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of the day-to-day stores operations while leading and developing a high-performing team.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee the full stores function, including Goods In, Picking, Packing, and Dispatch, as well as supporting outbound delivery operations, whether via third-party couriers or in-house transport.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team within a fast-paced stores environment.
• Act as Line Manager, conducting regular 1:1s, managing daily workloads, and setting priorities.
• Oversee inventory management, including receiving, storing, dispatching goods, and reporting discrepancies.
• Ensure smooth operations daily, meeting departmental cut-off times.
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor to support team performance.
• Monitor productivity and optimise team resources daily.
• Drive colleague development and build a multi-skilled team.
• Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across processes and operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous management or supervisory experience in a warehouse/stores environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Ability to motivate, influence, and develop others.
• High level of Health & Safety awareness.
• Proactive, results-driven approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Good self-awareness and openness to feedback.
• IT literate, with experience using Microsoft Office; ERP system experience is desirable.
