Research Manager (Social and Political)

This role is ideal for someone with a strong quantitative or mixed-methods research foundation who is ready to take full ownership of projects end to end. You will operate in a highly client-facing environment, leading the full research lifecycle from design through to insight delivery, while developing your consulting and stakeholder management skills.

The Role

• Lead end-to-end research projects, from scoping and design through to delivery and presentation
• Manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring a high-quality experience
• Design and deliver quantitative and mixed-methods research, including surveys and innovative approaches
• Analyse data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights
• Present results to stakeholders in a compelling and accessible way
• Contribute to proposal writing and support business development activities
• Support junior team members and help improve research processes and outputs

Your Skills and Experience

• Strong commercial experience in quantitative or mixed-methods research
• Having worked in Social or Politcal research projects
• Proven ability to manage projects across the full research lifecycle
• Experience working in a client-facing or consulting environment
• Confident in data analysis, interpretation, and storytelling
• Ability to design research frameworks and deliver high-quality outputs
• Familiarity with tools such as R or Python is advantageous
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
