I am currently working with a leading and forward-thinking accountancy firm to recruit an Audit Senior Manager to join their growing Commercial Audit team.

The Opportunity

Joining a high-performing and collaborative audit team, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of commercial clients, providing high-quality audit and assurance services while leading and developing your team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a large and varied portfolio of audit clients within the commercial sector
• Lead and deliver external audit engagements from planning through to completion
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong, trusted relationships
• Provide technical expertise on complex audit and accounting matters
• Oversee, mentor, and develop junior team members
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
• Contribute to business development, pitches, and wider departmental initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement across audit processes and client delivery

About You

• ACA, ACCA, ICAS, CA, or CIPFA qualified with post-qualified experience
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of audit clients
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS102, and/or IFRS
• Experience handling complex audits and technical issues
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
• Commercially aware with a client-focused approach

Desirable:

• Experience auditing large or listed companies
• Exposure to IFRS and complex group structures
• Familiarity with audit software and Microsoft Office tools
