The Business

We’re working with a well-established and highly respected financial services group that supports a national network of financial advisers and advice firms. The business combines operational infrastructure, technology and regulatory expertise to enable firms to start, run and grow effectively.

With continued growth and increasing demand, the business is now looking to appoint a Head of Transition to take ownership of how new firms are onboarded, integrated and moved into business-as-usual operations.


The Role

This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the full transition journey of new member firms, from initial onboarding through to full operational integration.

You will lead across multiple functions, including Agency, Onboarding and Data Transfer, ensuring that firms move through the transition process efficiently, compliantly and in line with agreed service standards.

The role requires strong operational oversight, with responsibility for workflow design, performance management and ensuring that teams are aligned, accountable and delivering consistently. You will be responsible for identifying risks, removing bottlenecks and maintaining pace across what is a critical stage of the member lifecycle.

Alongside this, you will lead and develop managers across the function, building a high-performing and service-focused team that can scale with the business. You will also play a key role in governance, ensuring that processes meet regulatory expectations and that transitions are delivered with the appropriate level of control and oversight.

This is a position for someone who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level, able to lead from the front whilst shaping how the function evolves as the business grows.

Desired Experience

  • Strong operational leadership experience within financial services
  • Experience across onboarding, integration, transitions or due diligence processes
  • Proven ability to lead managers and coordinate multiple teams
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk and operational controls
  • Experience working within a regulated environment
  • Confident stakeholder management, including senior internal stakeholders
  • Ability to manage both strategic priorities and day-to-day operational delivery
  • Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
