Description

• Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Maintain and reconcile the purchase ledger, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare payment runs and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
• Assist with month-end processes, including ledger close and reporting.
• Respond to supplier queries and build positive working relationships with vendors.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
• Support the wider accounting and finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
• Contribute to process improvements within the purchase ledger function.

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Controller should have:

• A solid understanding of purchase ledger processes and accounting principles.
• Experience within the retail industry or a similar sector.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
