We are seeking a confident, reliable, and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join our team, dedicated to supporting young people who need structure, guidance, and consistency in a specialist education setting.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with students who struggle with behaviour, engagement, or find mainstream school environments challenging.
  • Build strong, respectful, and consistent relationships with students.
  • Keep students engaged and focused on their tasks.
  • Support behaviour management in a firm but fair manner.
  • Help young people develop essential life skills such as confidence and routine.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Calm under pressure with a confident approach to challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and natural leadership qualities.
  • Experience in sports, coaching, youth work, mentoring, security, or armed forces is advantageous but not essential.
  • A genuine interest in the success and development of young people.
  • Reliable and proactive, ready to make a significant impact.
  • English and Mathematics grade C or equivalent.
