SEN Teaching Assistant (Mainstream) - Cambridge - September Start

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Cambridge from September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs within a mainstream classroom environment.

The school is looking for a patient, proactive, and compassionate practitioner who can build strong relationships with pupils and help create an inclusive learning experience.


CONTRACT DETAILS
  • Location - Cambridge

  • Position - SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Type of work - SEN support within a mainstream primary school

  • Start date - September

  • Duration - Ongoing / Long-term

  • Full time/part-time - Full time (Monday to Friday)

  • Minimum rate of pay - £95-£110 per day


EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience supporting children with SEND in a UK mainstream school (desirable)

  • Understanding of strategies for supporting pupils with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties

  • Relevant SEN or TA training beneficial

  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)


TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK

  • Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one

  • Provide two professional child-related references
