Job Title: Payroll Executive

Location: Reading (Hybrid Working)

Salary: Up to £34,000

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Executive to join a growing payroll team based in Reading. This is a great opportunity for a payroll professional with at least two years of end-to-end experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

The role will involve managing payroll processes from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service delivery to clients or internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payrolls accurately and on time
• Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring all data is correct and compliant
• Handle payroll queries and provide timely resolutions
• Calculate statutory payments, deductions, and benefits in line with UK legislation
• Support with payroll reconciliations and reporting
• Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements and internal policies
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, and third parties where required
• Assist with year-end processes including P60s and other statutory submissions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll processes

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ end-to-end payroll experience (essential)
• Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and processes
• Experience in a client payroll environment is preferred; in-house experience will also be considered
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is advantageous
