Lloyd Barnes Recruitment is pleased to be partnering with a Plymouth based organisation to recruit a commercially focused Finance Business Partner on a full-time, permanent basis.

As Finance Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, with responsibility for overseeing financial performance across logistics operations. You will translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights, supporting informed decision-making and driving cost-efficient, scalable outcomes aligned with business growth.

Working within a fast-paced environment, the Finance Business Partner, will collaborate closely with operational teams to enhance financial visibility, improve efficiency, and support robust decision-making across distribution and logistics functions.

The responsibilities:

• Oversee financial performance across logistics and distribution operations
• Deliver regular reporting with clear commentary on key variances and trends
• Work alongside operational leaders to drive efficiency and cost control
• Support the budgeting and forecasting cycle across operational functions
• Assess investment opportunities, including capital expenditure and initiatives
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators to enhance productivity
• Translate data into meaningful insights to support commercial decisions
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure governance standards are met

The candidate:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Background in commercial finance within logistics, distribution, or FMCG
• Experience managing large-scale budgets in a complex environment
• Strong analytical capability, with advanced Excel and reporting skills
• Able to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of the business
