Are you an experienced Customer Service Assistant looking for a part-time opportunity? This is a temporary to permanent role and can become permanent for the right person.  

Join this team as a Receptionist Customer Services Assistant and become the face of our college, providing essential support and a warm welcome to all visitors. This role is crucial in maintaining the professionalism and efficiency of our front-of-house operations, ensuring that all interactions are handled with courtesy and care.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Operate the front of house reception desk during core hours, with a rota for assigned evenings and occasional weekends.
  • Assist learners, staff, and external stakeholders by providing information, advice, or support.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the College, ensuring all visitors are greeted, signed in, and issued a visitor’s badge.
  • Handle all telephone, email, and in-person communications in a pleasant and professional manner, adhering to college KPIs.
  • Respond to email enquiries received through the generic college inbox promptly.
  • Stay updated with relevant information regarding courses, enrolment details, and learner eligibility requirements, ensuring accurate information is provided.
  • Implement and contribute to the design and documentation of reception procedures and processes.
  • Support the main enrolment period and participate in other cross-college events and activities.
  • Participate in both internal and external staff development opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take initiative in resolving minor matters and referring more serious matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Familiarity with standard office software and communication tools.
  • Experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role is preferred.
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
  • Support for college initiatives, including efforts to achieve Net Zero carbon.

You must have good front of house and face to face customer experience for this college based on Campus. 

25 hours per week, time are: 08.30am-14.30pm 

Monday to Friday - 100% office attendance, no remote working 

Must be flexible to work across various campuses in East London. 

An Enhanced DBS will be required. Application can be made via Reed.
