Senior Accountant (Practice), Caterham Surrey

Fletcher George Recruitment is supporting a privately owned firm of Accountants in Caterham, Surrey, who are continuing to grow their offering to a locally based portfolio across Surrey and London.

The Role – Senior Accountant (Practice)

As a Senior Accountant based in Caterham, Surrey you will work closely with the Partners and wider team, supporting a varied client portfolio.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Building strong relationships with clients and the management team ensuring a high standard of service
• Providing general accounting and tax advice
• Managing bookkeeping tasks including VAT returns
• Preparing monthly management accounts and statutory accounts (FRS 102)
• Completing personal and corporate tax returns
• Working confidently with modern accounting software, including Xero

Candidate Profile 

• ACCA or MAAT qualified, part-qualified or Qualified By Experience
• Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice is essential
• Strong statutory accounts preparation experience (FRS 102)
• Organised, proactive and client-focused with strong communication skills
• Confident using Microsoft Office and adapting to new technology

• £45,000 – £50,000 depending on experience

Location

The Senior Accountant role is based in Caterham, Surrey and is commutable from Sutton, Banstead, Reigate, Redhill, Croydon, Wallington, Epsom, Tadworth and surrounding areas across Surrey and South London.
