We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a friendly finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a varied accounting role and takes pride in accuracy, organisation, and keeping financial processes running smoothly. This role will have a strong focus on manual reconciliations, invoice processing, and supporting the wider finance function with day-to-day accounting activities. What you'll be doing:
Processing purchase invoices across multiple divisions and allocating costs accurately
Carrying out statement reconciliations and manual account reconciliations
Posting payments and receipts
Supporting month-end processes, including intercompany reconciliations and reporting
Assisting with various finance administration tasks and ad hoc duties
Working closely with other departments to support smooth financial operations
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in a varied finance/accounts role
Experience with sales and purchase ledger processes
Knowledge of Sage 50, Sage 200 or similar accounting systems
Strong Excel and IT skills
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
A self-motivated problem solver with a positive and flexible approach
