Description

Business Partnering - Act as a trusted, visible and accessible point of contact to

business leaders; providing strategic, commercial and financial decision support.


Customer focus - Understand the customer landscape and their numerous, complex drivers. Develop customer relationships to successfully contribute to commercial and financial negotiations regarding items such as variable revenue, extensions/rebids and change notices.

Commerciality - Understand the value drivers of the business and provide guidance on contract/service performance including ROI, scenario planning, KPI analysis and benchmarking. Proactive identification, assessment and management of financial and commercial risks. Monitor and drive the implementation of resulting actions.

Strategic and critical thinking - Support the portfolio strategy through market, competitor and portfolio analysis, insights and recommendations; inform and influence market entry and exit decisions. Provide decision support for new business, drawing upon the Commercial and Legal teams, as appropriate.

Operational Excellence - Responsible driving value through identification of over and under delivery against contractual obligations, performing root cause analysis, and making recommendations. Drive contract/service cost optimisation projects through profitability analysis and efficiency recommendations.

Ownership of the Budget and forecast - Responsible for ensuring that budgets and forecasts are aligned with business direction and that business plans in place to achieve committed financial targets.


Profile

A successful Finance Business Partner should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and the use of financial systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving financial challenges.
