A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Newham is seeking a dedicated and organised DT/Food Technician to support our thriving Design & Technology and Food departments.

About the Role
As a DT/Food Technician, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning by preparing materials, equipment, and ingredients for practical lessons. You will ensure that all resources are ready for use, while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up equipment, tools, and ingredients for lessons
• Support teachers and students during practical sessions
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene
• Clean and store equipment after use
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
• Ensure all workspaces meet safety and compliance requirements

About You

• Organised, proactive, and able to manage time effectively
• Strong awareness of health and safety practices, particularly in food preparation
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a willingness to support students
• Previous experience in a school or similar environment is desirable but not essential
