We are looking for organised, detail-driven, and customer-focused individuals to join Cadent as a Planning & Scheduling Support Administrator within the Customer Operations team.

In this role, you will support the scheduling team with a wide range of administrative tasks, helping to ensure that work is planned, coordinated, and delivered efficiently. This is a busy, fast-paced position with a consistent workload, where strong organisational skills and the ability to manage queries and stakeholder communication are key.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with planning, scheduling, or administrative experience—ideally within utilities, but this is not essential—to build their career within one of the UK’s leading energy networks.

How You’ll Make an Impact

In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting operational delivery through planning and coordination. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the scheduling team with day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Creating and maintaining work orders and scheduling records
  • Managing a high volume of emails, queries, and requests
  • Liaising with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers
  • Handling both inbound and outbound calls to support scheduling activities
  • Coordinating work across teams to ensure priorities are met
  • Maintaining accurate data across systems to support effective planning
  • Assisting in resolving queries and ensuring a smooth customer experience
  • Supporting operational delivery through efficient planning and organisation

What Skills Do You Need?

  • Experience in scheduling, planning, or administrative roles (utilities experience desirable but not essential)
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage a high and consistent workload
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience handling queries
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including phone-based interactions
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with systems (e.g. SAP or similar)
  • Confidence liaising with a variety of stakeholders
  • A proactive, organised, and team-oriented approach

How It All Comes Together

  • Pay rate: £13.53 per hour (PAYE, paid weekly)
  • Assignment duration: 6 months (potential to extend or become permanent)
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Location: Pilot Way, Ansty Park, Coventry, West Midlands, CV7 9JU
  • Working pattern: Hybrid – onsite training, then office attendance once per month
  • Contracted hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm
