Operate bandsaw machinery safely and efficiently to cut a range of materials to specification.
Work with material sizes up to 1080mm diameter, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the cutting process.
Cut a variety of exotic alloys and specialist materials in line with production requirements.
Read and interpret job sheets, drawings and cutting instructions to meet customer and business needs.
Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance to ensure equipment remains in good working order.
Monitor quality throughout production, ensuring finished cuts meet the required standards and tolerances.
Handle materials safely and maintain a clean, organised working area at all times.
Requirements
Previous experience operating bandsaw machinery within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Confidence working with large diameter materials, ideally up to 1080mm.
Experience cutting difficult alloys or specialist metals would be highly beneficial.
Ability to read and follow technical drawings, job sheets and work instructions.
A strong awareness of health and safety and safe material handling practices.
Good attention to detail with the ability to work accurately to deadlines and quality standards.
A reliable and proactive approach with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
