Your Company: NET Recruit are partnering with a highly successful services business to support their ongoing search for a Head of HR in Portsmouth.
Your Role and Responsibilities: While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
Leading the development and delivery of a people strategy aligned with organisational goals
Overseeing all generalist HR activity, including potential recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle and compliance
Managing complex employee relations cases, advising senior leaders on best practice and risk mitigation
Driving performance management processes, including appraisals, talent reviews and capability frameworks
Designing and implementing learning and development programmes to support individual growth and organisational capability
Overseeing the optimisation and use of HR systems, ensuring accurate reporting and effective self-service functionality
Embedding a strong culture of employee engagement, inclusion and wellbeing through proactive initiatives
Developing and updating HR policies and procedures in line with legislative requirements and internal values
Coaching and supporting managers on people leadership, change management and team development
Collaborating with the senior leadership team to influence strategic decisions
What You Will Need To Apply: Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
CIPD qualified (Level 7 preferred) or equivalent
Proven experience operating at HR Director or senior HR leadership level, ideally within a generalist remit
Exposure to an SME environment
Technical knowledge including UK employment law and HR best practice
Exposure to complex employee relations issues, performance management and L&D frameworks
Excellent communication skills, particularly in providing strategic guidance to senior stakeholders
Experience implementing and optimising HR systems
Good commercial acumen, with experience in the creation and delivery of HR strategies
