WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE / FLT COUNTERBALANCE DRIVER – CAMBUSLANG

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver – Cambuslang to join our well-established client based in Cambuslang. This is a fantastic opportunity offering consistent full-time hours on a 12-week contract, with an immediate start within a busy industrial environment. This role would also be suitable for candidates with previous experience as a Warehouse Operative, FLT Counterbalance Driver, Forklift Driver, Yard Operative, or Goods In / Goods Out Operative, ideally within a metals environment.

Shifts

• Monday to Thursday – 08:30 start time
• Friday – 08:00 start time
• Finish approximately 17:00

Rates of Pay

• £14.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Warehouse Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Operating a B1 Counterbalance Forklift Truck (RTITB certified)
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Moving stock within the warehouse and yard areas
• Handling metal products and materials
• Assisting with goods in and goods out processes
• Manual handling and general warehouse duties
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks

Essential Skills

• Valid RTITB B1 Counterbalance FLT licence
• Previous experience operating an FLT in a warehouse or yard environment
• Experience within the metals industry
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Able to travel to Cambuslang for the required start times
• No holidays booked between 15/06/2026 – 29/06/2026 due to staff holidays

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working in a busy warehouse or industrial environment
• Experience handling heavy or bulky goods

Training Provided

• Site induction and health & safety training
• Ongoing support from on-site management
