A well-established and highly regarded Cumbria law firm is seeking a Commercial Property Solicitor to join its expanding team in Penrith.
This is a retained assignment, underlining the strategic importance of the hire and the firm’s commitment to securing a high-calibre, long-term addition.
The Opportunity
You will join a respected agricultural and property team, handling a diverse and high-quality caseload, including:
- Agricultural land sales and acquisitions
- Rural and farming-related property matters
- Commercial property transactions
- Acting for landowners, farmers, and rural businesses
- Managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
This position has arisen due to a developing skills gap and planned succession, offering the opportunity to step into a key role within the department.
The Team
- Led by an experienced and supportive Head of Department
- Strong internal progression history, with solicitors and trainees developing within the firm
- Collaborative, stable, and predominantly office-based culture
About You
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
- 3–5 years’ PQE (flexibility for strong candidates slightly outside this range)
- Experience in commercial property and/or agricultural law
- Confident managing your own caseload and able to hit the ground running
- Willing to work primarily office-based in Penrith
