Your new company

A busy Secondary School is looking for an Attendance Officer to start as soon as possible. The cover is Monday to Friday, term time only, 8 am - 4 pm. The role is a long term role with potential permanent opportunities for the right candidate, to start as soon as possible.

Your new role

The role will be to log registers and chase parents for any absent pupils. This is a school that has a number of issues with attendance so it will entail tracking pupil attendance and lateness as well as carrying out home visits to put actions in place to improve attendance. You must be a confident individual with the ability to have difficult conversations with parents.
What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have a high level of communication and IT skills and be able to work quickly under your initiative. You will also have recent satisfactory references for carrying out a similar placement within the last 2 years. You will also need to have an up to date DBS check, the school can't accept any applicants without this.
