Civilian Investigators required for Metropolitan Police Service

• Role length:  12 months initial
• Rate: £22.42 per hour PAYE

We are working with Metropolitan Police to find a number of ex police staff, to return on a civilian basis, to join a large investigation as a Civilian Investigator.  This investigation has run alongside a Public Inquiry and represents one of the largest and most complex homicide investigations ever undertaken.

They are now at a crucial and decisive stage of the investigation. As a result, the pace and intensity of the investigation have significantly increased, and we are seeking skilled professionals to support this critical phase of work.

Working Arrangements

Disclosure Teams

• Full-time: 5 days per week
  
  • 3 days office-based
  • 2 days working from home
• Part-time arrangements:
  
  • Anything less than 5 days – one day working from home.

Investigation Teams

• Full-time: 5 days per week (minimum of 4 days)
  
  • 4 days office-based
  • 1 days working from home

Essential Criteria

• Recent experience of serious and/or complex crime investigations
• Aptitude for processing and analysing detailed information
• Effective report-writing skills
• Valid PIP2 accreditation.
• Experience of managing complex investigations within the last five years.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of working within collaborative investigative partnerships
• Experience working in a HOLMES environment
• Experience in project management and delivery

Working arrangements:

• Based at Peel House, Hendon
• Monday to Friday, office hours
• Overtime available (not mandatory)
• Free nearby parking available (approximately 10-15-minute walk)
