About the Role

We are looking for a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive primary school team in Worthing. This role involves supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) both in the classroom and through small-group or one-to-one interventions.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and parents to help pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs in class
  • Deliver tailored interventions and learning activities
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
  • Assist with personal care if required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly within a primary setting
  • A calm, nurturing, and adaptable approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
