Primary Teacher

Location: Peckham, Southwark London (nearest station Queens Road Peckham)
Start Date: September 26 - full academic year

Salary: MPS/UPS (Inner London Pay Scale)

Closing Date: 1 May 26

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher (KS2) to join our friendly, supportive team at a three-form entry primary school in Peckham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in a large and welcoming school with a close-knit community. The role is a full-time, fixed-term position starting September 2026 until July 2027.

Primary Teacher Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that align with the Key Stage 2 curriculum - no previous experience required
• Develop engaging and differentiated learning activities that challenge and support all students in reaching their full potential.
• Work closely with the Teaching Assistant to ensure tailored support for students, especially those with additional learning needs.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents on academic achievements and development.
• Collaborate with the wider staff team and leadership to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school.

Primary Teacher Key Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching Key Stage 2 or a desire to teach it
• Excellent behaviour management techniques with a good sense of humour
• The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
• Passionate about supporting children's development both academically and socially.
