Business Law Solicitor (Corporate & Commercial)

• Location: Brighton, or surrounding area (Multiple Office Locations)
• Job Type: Full-time / Hybrid / Flexible Working
• Salary: Circa £55,000 - £80,000 (DofE)

We are looking for an experienced Corporate & Commercial Solicitor with approximately 2+ years' PQE+ to join our growing office in Brighton for a brand new role within the firm. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a friendly, ambitious, and expanding firm, working closely with an experienced Partner and playing a key role in developing the firm’s commercial offering.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Handle a broad mix of corporate and contract work, including:
  
  • General corporate advice
  • Shareholding purchases and sales
  • Business asset transfers
  • Corporate finance transactions (debt & equity)
  • Mergers, acquisitions, and takeovers
  • Joint ventures and management buy-outs
  • Articles of association, shareholder agreements & share options
  • Company formations and ongoing company administration
• Advise on a wide range of commercial contracts, including:
  
  • Contract drafting, review, and negotiation
  • Standard terms & conditions (sale/purchase)
  • Distribution and agency agreements
  • Sub-contracting, outsourcing, and logistics agreements
  • Brand protection and general commercial arrangements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years PQE in Corporate & Commercial law
• Strong experience across M&A, corporate structuring, and commercial contracts
• Commercially minded, pragmatic, and confident dealing with business clients
• Able to work autonomously while contributing to a growing team
