Receptionist

• Hourly Rate: PAYE £13.00 or UMBRELLA £16.82
• Location: Dorchester
• Job Type: Temporary - Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - 08:30 to 16:00

We are seeking a skilled Receptionist to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is based in Dorchester and offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in healthcare systems, particularly System One. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using a card machine and possess strong mathematical skills.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office.
• Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
• Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material.
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
• Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
• Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges).
• Handle financial transactions using a card machine and ensure accurate processing of payments.
• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
• MUST have experience in using healthcare systems, specifically System One.
• MUST have strong skills in using a card machine and handling financial transactions.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Customer service attitude.
