Finance Director
West Yorkshire (On-Site)
£110,000 – £125,000 + bonus

Elevation are excited to be partnering with a growing, privately owned business in West Yorkshire (c.£50m turnover) to appoint a Finance Director.

This is a key leadership role, reporting directly into the Board, within a business that has a strong track record and is continuing to evolve. They are now looking for a Finance Director who can bring greater commercial insight, challenge and pace to the function.

The fundamentals are in place, but there is a clear opportunity to take things further. You’ll lead the finance function, ensuring reporting is accurate and delivered in a timely manner, while improving the quality of analysis to better support decision-making. There is real scope to tighten reporting timelines, enhance visibility around performance and provide more meaningful insight ahead of Board discussions.

A big part of the role will involve getting closer to the detail. This includes understanding project performance, supporting tender activity and improving cashflow forecasting and post-project analysis. The expectation is that finance plays a more proactive role in shaping outcomes, rather than simply reporting them.

You’ll need to be comfortable challenging stakeholders, bringing structure where needed and driving improvements across processes and controls. This is a hands-on Finance Director role in a business that values detail, accountability and clarity.

It will suit someone who has operated as a number one in finance, or a senior divisional lead, and who is looking for a role where they can have real influence on how the business performs.
