Reed is working with a key local client to recruit a Temporary Customer Services Officer to support a busy customer services team on an office-based assignment in Haywards Heath.

This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service experience who enjoys dealing with the public and working in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for customers via telephone, email, and face-to-face
  • Handling a wide range of enquiries and resolving issues where possible at first contact
  • Providing clear information and signposting customers to the appropriate service or team
  • Using computer and CRM systems to log and update customer interactions
  • Delivering a professional, courteous, and customer-focused service at all times
  • Supporting the wider team as required to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or front-facing role
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong IT skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Calm, approachable, and professional manner
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
