We are currently seeking a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in the Hyde area from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a genuine difference to students’ learning, confidence, and wellbeing.
The Role
You will:
Support students on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Provide pastoral and emotional support to students
Help create a positive and supportive learning environment
Support pupils with additional learning needs and SEN
Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with children or young people
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for education and student wellbeing
School, youth work, coaching, care, or support experience (desirable)
Ideal For
• Experienced Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants
• Youth Workers or Support Workers
• Graduates considering a career in education
• Individuals with transferable experience supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
