The Role We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Assistant Lettings Manager to support the Lettings Manager in driving performance, maintaining standards, and delivering an exceptional lettings service. This role is ideal for a senior negotiator or valuator looking to take the next step into management while remaining actively involved in day-to-day lettings.
You will play a key role in supporting the team, increasing revenue, ensuring compliance, and helping to grow the lettings portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Lettings & Revenue Generation
- Managing the lettings process from appraisal to move-in
- Carrying out rental market appraisals and winning new instructions
- Negotiating offers and maximising achieved rents and fees
- Supporting the delivery of individual and branch lettings targets
Team Support & Leadership
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of the lettings team
- Coaching and mentoring negotiators to improve performance
- Leading by example in customer service and compliance
- Supporting team training, onboarding, and development
Landlord & Client Management
- Building and maintaining strong landlord relationships
- Acting as a senior point of contact for escalated issues
- Providing professional advice on market conditions, legislation, and rental strategy
Compliance & Administration
- Ensuring all lettings are compliant with current legislation
- Overseeing accurate record-keeping on Reapit
- Supporting audits and internal compliance procedures
- Ensuring company standards and processes are consistently followed
Skills & Experience - Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential lettings
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Experience carrying out market appraisals and instructions
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident, professional, and commercially aware
- Full UK driving licence preferred
