The Opportunity

We are partnering with a globally recognised provider of market intelligence and data insights, supporting organisations worldwide with critical decision-making, pricing strategies, and long-term planning.

With a strong international reputation built on accuracy, independence, and expertise, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth. As part of this, they are seeking a Head of Marketing & Commercial Strategy to play a pivotal role in shaping their future commercial direction.

This is a senior leadership position, offering the opportunity to influence strategy at the highest level while driving alignment across marketing, sales, and customer engagement functions.

The Role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the marketing function while shaping and delivering a cohesive commercial strategy across the business.

This role brings together marketing, sales alignment, and customer experience under a single, coordinated approach — ensuring all commercial activity is working towards shared growth objectives.

You will operate both strategically and hands-on, leading a team while collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a joined-up commercial strategy across marketing, sales, and customer service
  • Drive demand generation and new business growth
  • Strengthen and position the brand across international markets
  • Lead all marketing activity including:
  • Digital strategy
  • Website optimisation
  • SEO and emerging AI search visibility (GEO / AEO)
  • Content and campaign delivery
  • Lead generation initiatives
  • Support customer retention and subscription renewals through engagement and value-led communication
  • Ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience across all touchpoints
  • Identify new commercial opportunities through market insight and data analysis
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to support wider business strategy
  • Lead, develop, and align teams to deliver against shared commercial goals
About You

You will be a commercially minded marketing leader, comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level.

We are open to candidates from a range of sectors — what matters most is your ability to drive growth, align functions, and think commercially.

You will likely bring:

  • Proven experience in senior marketing or commercial leadership roles
  • Strong track record in demand generation, brand development, and customer engagement
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • A clear understanding of commercial strategy and revenue drivers
  • Expertise across modern digital marketing channels, including:
  • Paid search & paid social
  • SEO & content marketing
  • Emerging AI-driven search (GEO / AEO)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A collaborative, proactive approach with the ability to influence across functions

Experience within B2B services, data, research, publishing, or subscription-based environments would be advantageous, but is not essential.
