Outsourcing & Accounts Senior - Reading

A growing and highly regarded accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Outsourcing & Accounts Senior to join its collaborative office near Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice professional looking to join a supportive team environment with strong long-term career prospects.

Working closely with Managers and Directors, you will support a varied portfolio of SME clients across outsourcing, management accounts, year-end accounts and tax compliance.

The Outsourcing & Accounts Senior Role

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and review of VAT returns
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Preparation of year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Draft corporation tax and personal tax computations
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain information
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Working collaboratively to improve processes and drive efficiencies
• Keeping up to date with accounting and tax legislation

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
• AAT qualification or strong relevant practice experience
• At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Good working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple client assignments
• A proactive and client-focused approach

Experience with software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or Digita would be advantageous.
