Role Overview

The Production Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all production operations to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong focus on achieving demanding production targets, driving operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily production operations, including planning, scheduling, and workflow coordination
  • Deliver against strict production targets while maximising efficiency and throughput
  • Optimise the use of labour, materials, and equipment to reduce waste and control costs
  • Monitor performance metrics, including output, quality, and KPIs, taking proactive steps to minimise downtime
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes, systems, and team performance
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture
  • Identify and resolve operational issues quickly to maintain production continuity

  • Financial awareness, including budget management and cost control
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is highly desirable
