We are seeking an experienced People Reward & Benefits Advisor to join our established People / HR Shared Services function. This role is pivotal in supporting a multi-entity group organisation with complex payroll, reward, and benefits requirements. It offers a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at partnering closely with Finance, external providers, and wider People teams.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Pay, Payroll & Reward Administration:

    • Serve as the first point of contact for employee and stakeholder queries related to pay, payroll, reward, and benefits.
    • Manage end-to-end payroll processes across multiple payrolls within a group structure, collaborating closely with the Finance team and external payroll providers.
    • Review, validate, and sign off payroll data to meet strict deadlines.
    • Investigate and resolve complex payroll discrepancies, ensuring clear and timely communication with stakeholders.
    • Maintain accurate payroll records and HR system data.
  • Benefits, Reward & Pensions:

    • Administer and advise on a broad range of reward and benefits offerings, including pension schemes, salary sacrifice arrangements, and employee recognition programmes.
    • Manage the annual benefits renewal cycle and support salary and bonus review processes.
  • Compliance, Audit & Change:

    • Ensure compliance with UK statutory legislation and best practices for payroll and benefits processes.
    • Support payroll-related data requests for audits and assist with TUPE transfers.
  • Reporting & Stakeholder Support:

    • Produce and distribute management information related to pay and benefits.
    • Collaborate across the wider People Operations / HR Shared Services team and maintain strong relationships with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a People Reward & Benefits Advisor, Payroll & Reward, or similar role.
  • Experience within a shared services or HR operations environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with pensions and reward schemes, including salary sacrifice benefits.
  • Familiarity with payroll and reward aspects of TUPE transfers is highly desirable.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems and advanced Excel.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
